The body of a baby contains 80 % of water, instead adult body contains 60 %. For this reason paediatric dehydration is so dangerous. Children who drink little water become sleepy, rapidly get tired and loss their energy.
Studies have found that about 60 % of school-aged children suffer from dehydration. As a result, kidneys suffer, a child feels weakness, he/she may lose consciousness, memory and attention gets impaired.
There is also a myth that dried fruit drinks or fresh juices are more useful for health than a regular water. In general sugar is added to this beverages.
